Sojourn Collective

For Sojourn’s series on Esther and Daniel, I wanted to emphasize the themes of irony and reversal in the text. I illustrated these figures (based on playing cards) and then we printed half of the programs upside down. Fifty percent of the people who looked down at their program saw Esther the queen, and fifty percent saw Esther the prisoner.
